It only took like 30 minutes for daddy to teach him with a sweet toy from AKA Spot

When he just lays down, I'd work on getting him to stand. To do that, have a treat and show it to him then move it away at nose height until he stands to get to it. Give him the command "stand" and then give him the treat.
