While mom and dad are away for the funeral Chewie is staying with his aunt MJ and his cousin Fenway. This picture was taken by his loving aunt as he tells her "you have no idea what you're in for, lady" with his eyes.

My father, Chewie's beloved granddad, passed away last night. Postings will be sporadic and likely older pictures or of cousins like this: Chewie's uncle Leo, who lives in Spain, and his kitty cousin Maku.

This is Chewie's dad and my first post here. I wanted to throw up a pic of Chewie checking out the new digs and the grandparents house. He seems to like what he sees, he seems to think grandma is a giant loofa toy like Bluey.

Chewie emotional assistance animal extraordinaire

Today Chewie took his first flight. We had to come to Miami to see my dad who hasn't been doing well. Given that I have a horrible fear of flying, I had a doctor write a note asking that he be allowed to fly with him as my emotional assistance dog. The good news is it worked! I was able to fly without taking any medicine, without digging my nails through my husband's hand, and without having any panic attacks. Chewie was perfectly well-behaved during the flight thanks to a long walk before-hand and a lot of planning.

We put on his little coat to make him look more "official" and it did. Here he is lounging on floor of Reagan National:

Once we arrived in Florida he immediately had his first encounter with a grandma.Enjoying the much thicker "Florida Grass"

Tug of Doom

We never played tug with our little wookie because we were fearful it would make him aggressive. However, two weeks ago a trainer taught us how to play correctly, saying we should do it because it is good for agility. Below is the result. I know I am evil for doing this to a 15 week-old puppy.

Possessive much, Fenway?

Dude, you don't even know what that frisbee you took from Chewie is! Does anyone think he looks like Walter Matthau in Grumpy Old Men ?

Daisy, the sweet neighbor dog

This is one of our favorite neighborhood dogs, Daisy. She is blind, but has incredible hearing and sense of smell. She is the sweetest dog in the world, and we're hoping when she gets to know Chewie better she can his buddy. Is she adorable or what?
