Holla at Chewie's girl!
Chewie met a fan from Daily Puppy tonight on 23rd Street. He loooved her and wantsher to get his brother so they can have play dates!
Evil furniture strikes again
We tied Chewie to the stool while we ate dinner and he decided to make things harder on himself. Now he has two pieces of cheap furniture he's afraid of.

We weighed the littlest wookie this morning. No, he didn't willingly get on the scale, I weighed myself holding him and alone and subtracted. He weighs 11 pounds. When we got him 1 month ago (1/21/08), he weighed 5 pounds, so he has more than doubled in weight!
On another note, he loves snow; by that I mean he loves to eat the snow and get it all over his face. Here he is in the post-eclipse morning sun.

Good work, Jon! You really captured is cuteness. He also took a great one of Fenway enjoying the breeze. Is the Fenster smiling?

Picture and video of the day 2-14-08 Puppy Kindergarten
Here is a taste of what puppy kindergarten was like. That is his new friend Zoe. For more adorable pictures and videos go here. Class was great. Most of the time was spent playing and letting the little guys socialize. Contrary to his usual personality our boy was shy and reserved, and of course perfectly well behaved, so we got no help with the nipping.
However, he did attempt to go shrimping on the guy wearing sandals:

Picture of the day 2-11-08
This was taken moments after all three of us learned of his interest in chicken; apparently we haven't practiced "off" enough. We may also have to stop eating at the coffee table.

Fun with housebreaking
In the last couple of days we've had a slight regression with housebreaking. Yesterday I took him out he peed and after 5 minutes we came back in. Daddy was upstairs taking a shower and I had the audacity to take my own pee break. All of a sudden, I hear insane barking which could mean anything: a real problem, a favorite neighbor walking by, a toy stuck under the couch. I came out of the bathroom kind of quickly, to find him barking at his own poop. He waited until we got back inside, and until he was alone to poo on my very nice rug and then he was indignant. Daddy said I was giving him too much credit after he went into his crate to pee and then nonchalantly came out. But having been a rebellious teenager, I think I know defiance when I see it.

Things the dog daddy can do
This is Chewie's Sire, Reagan. He is the sweetest dog in the world and just gorgeous. The breeder says he is rusty on his tricks but I think he's great. I hope Chewie is this good.

Introducing Chewie Clarke
Here is when we figured out Chewie is funny. We were driving up I-95 on Martin Luther King Day, Chewie was relaxed and sleeping on my lap. He hadn't peed at any stops because he had never been outside before. Suddenly he decides to get up, walk across my arm onto Daddy's and into his lap. Just when we are admiring the cuteness of it all, he pees on daddy and makes his way back over to me. Obviously this little guy knows what's up.
